About Us

Our story started back in 1994, by Laurie and Jenny and is family owned and run. We are an independent Pet store based in the historic market town of Guisborough. The friendly atmosphere to our customers within our business is paramount to the company’s success, and to continue this in 1998 our youngest daughter Julie joined the company, followed by her husband Steve in 2000.

 The demand for a far greater range of products and the continued support of all our customers enabled the company to expand from its two smaller units into the present 4000sq ft warehouse in 2001. New chapters Continue to be written within our story with the launch of Feedems own website in 2006, followed by our eldest daughter’s husband Ian into the business, bringing his many years of retail experience.

 All our staff are fully trained in pet and animal care, with continuous training and development so that we can always help you make the right choices. Understanding the needs of our customers has been the key to our success; we know our customers shop with us because of the outstanding value for money we offer on our wide range of products.

Over the years we have built an experienced team, dedicated to find the right products at the right prices to exceed our customer’s needs and your pet’s expectations. This enables us to not only stock a greater range of products, it allows us to access up to 18000 products within 48 hours thereby offering a better service to our customers.

 Feedem is renowned for providing excellent customer service, from the minute you purchase your item, and we believe this is because we understand what our customers want and, our customers know that we provide them with reliability, respect and consistency. This was recognised in 2006 when we won the regional customer service award from a leading wholesaler beating numerous other finalists.

 Feedem also supports many local rescue centres raising money to help re-home animals in the local area.
