HiLife

We are Town & Country Petfoods, owners of the popular HiLife brand of dog and cat foods, a family-run business based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Established in 1974, by John Parkinson, we originally supplied Hillards, Fine Fare and Gateway with own-label pet foods, and we made HiLife branded pet foods for our largest customer Boots the Chemist. In 1987, when Boots decided to stop selling pet foods, a decision that disappointed a lot of pet owners, John took the brave step of buying the HiLife brand name from Boots. John and his son Tony set about building HiLife into trusted national pet food brand and it was not long before his other son Peter and daughter Julie, joined the business too, making Town & Country Petfoods a real pet-owning family business.
