Pets Choice Multi Sticks Food contains a speciality formulated blend of animal and vegetable proteins that provide essential amino-acids for healthy growth together with wheatgerm, a highly digestible source of protein.

With spirulina  which is a highly nutritious species of filamentous algae from Mexico.  Spirulina is a natural colour enhancer that strengthens the coloured markings of all breeds of pond fish.

Floating  which encourages your fish to feed at the surface of the pond for your enjoyment and prevents build-up of lost food at the bottom of your pond.

Storage Conditions

Prior to opening should be stored in dry cool condition. After opening, store in an air-tight container in dry cool conditions.

Feeding Guide: Enough food should be sprinkled on the water surface so that it is consumed within 10-15 minutes. Overfeeding can cloud the water, underfeeding will result in the fish remaining at the surface seeking more.

The Pond Keepers Year   

January – February
The water in outdoor ponds will be at its coldest.  The fish will be in a state of virtual hibernation and should not be fed if the water is below 8°C.  If there is a prolonged mild spell and the fish become active, then an easily digestible food such as Pets Choice Wheatgerm Sticks or Pets Choice Wheatgerm Pellets may be fed.

March – April
The fish will begin searching for food as the water temperature increases above 9°C.  Initially feed Pets Choice Wheatgerm Sticks or Pets Choice Wheatgerm Pellets.

May – June
The water temperature should now be rising to 15°C in most regions of the UK.  Fish should be feeding actively, and should be offered good quality food such as Pets Choice Pond Sticks or Pets Choice Pond Pellets several times per day.  A higher protein food such as Pets Choice Carp Sticks or Pets Choice Carp Pellets is especially good for breeding fish or to enhance the fish’s condition and colour.

July – August
Water temperatures will be at a maximum and the fish should be active and feeding at maximum levels. Feed at least twice a day and include a high protein food such as Pets Choice Carp Sticks and Pets Choice Carp Pellets.  For water temperatures above 18°C koi may start to spawn.  If the water temperature exceeds 25-27°C the fish will probably stop feeding and become lethargic, if possible shade the pond from the sun.

September – October
Warm days and frosty nights will cause water temperatures to fall.  This should have little effect on deep ponds but may affect shallow ponds.  Pond fish will be active and feeding and should be fed a high quality food such as Pets Choice Pond Sticks or Pets Choice Pond Pellets.  As the pond algae and plants die back this is a good time to clean and maintain your pond before the water temperature drops below 10°C as the fish will still be feeding and their immune systems will be active, enabling then to cope with the disturbance.  It is important to remove dead or decaying leaves from the water to prevent pollution problems.

November – December
As the water temperature drops the fish will become less active and are likely to stop feeding and remain motionless on the bottom of the pond.  Do not disturb the fish unnecessarily as this will cause them to use up their food reserves.  Only feed when the water temperature is above 8°C and take care not to overfeed.  In general, a low protein, easily digestible food such as Pets Choice Wheatgerm Sticks or Pets Choice Wheatgerm Pellets offered once per day will be sufficient.

1. What are your standard delivery charges?

For most of the UK*, spend £45 or more and we’ll deliver it to you, absolutely FREE! *max weight 32kg

For orders under £45 there is a charge of £4.99 depending on the weight.

We understand that getting your items to you quickly is really important, so we make every effort to process your order as quickly as possible.

5. Do you ship internationally, i.e. outside the UK?

We currently ship standard orders outside the UK.

6. What do I do if I receive a damaged item?

If a customer accepts a damaged parcel knowingly the damage must be specified on the courier driver's signature terminal. Please photograph damages for our investigation.

If you have accepted the parcel before realising it was damaged, or the parcel has been left in a safe place when you were not around to inspect it, then we ask you take a picture of the damaged items and contact us no later than 3pm on the next working day of delivery so we can take the necessary action and resend an item or refund you accordingly.

Once you have received your confirmation telephone call or collection e-mail, simply pop in store to collect your shopping whenever you are ready.

* We do try to make sure that all items are in stock, but on that odd occasion your order may take up to 2 days for collection.

Returns

If you wish to return a product to us for any reason please do so within 30 days of the despatch date. To receive a full refund, items must not have been used and must be returned to us with their original packaging intact.

1. How do I return my item?

The easiest way for you to return your item is to follow these 3 steps:

1) Pack everything up securely. Please include your order number and covering note.

2) State the reason for your return.

3) Post back to us at the address below. We recommend you obtain proof of postage. As soon as we receive the returned item we will issue a full refund to the card with which you made your purchase, or using PayPal where appropriate.

2. How long does it take to get a refund?

As soon as we receive the returned item we will issue a full refund to the card with which you made your purchase, or using PayPal where appropriate. This refund is subject to standard bank clearing times and depending on the payment method can take up to 7 working days.

3. For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service when returning your item back to us as we are not liable for any loss or damage whilst in transit.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value
