Arden Grange Sensitive Adult Large Breed Grain Free Fish & Potato Dog Food 2kg

Arden Grange Sensitive Adult Large Breed Fish & Potato is a premium grain-free complete dry dog food formulated for large and giant breed adult dogs with sensitive skin or sensitive digestion, suitable from 1 year of age. Made with 39% ocean white fish (22% fresh + 17% fish meal) as the sole animal protein source, combined with sweet potato and potato in a cereal-free recipe, it delivers gentle, targeted nutrition that is kind to sensitive systems while meeting the specific demands of larger breeds.

Large and giant breed dogs place significantly more load on their joints than smaller breeds, which is why this recipe includes boosted levels of glucosamine (740mg/kg), chondroitin (520mg/kg), and MSM (740mg/kg). A large kibble size encourages slower eating and better digestion, while the exceptional omega-3 content from fish, linseed, and krill supports skin, coat, and joint health throughout adult life. Also available in a 12kg bag for better value. Browse our full range of Arden Grange dry dog food or explore our complete range of grain free dog food at Feedem.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this food specifically formulated for large breeds?

Large and giant breed dogs have specific nutritional needs that differ from smaller breeds. Their greater body weight places more load on joints and cartilage, making elevated levels of glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM particularly important. The larger kibble size also encourages slower eating, which reduces the risk of bloat — a serious condition more common in large and deep-chested breeds. This recipe addresses both concerns in a single, sensitive-friendly formula.

Why is fish used as the protein source?

Ocean white fish is a naturally hypoallergenic protein that most dogs have never been exposed to, making it far less likely to trigger an immune response in sensitive dogs. It is also naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which support skin barrier function, reduce inflammation, and contribute to joint health. For large breed dogs with sensitive skin or digestion, fish is an excellent alternative to more common proteins like chicken or beef.

What makes the joint supplement levels in this food different?

This recipe contains glucosamine at 740mg/kg, chondroitin at 520mg/kg, and MSM at 740mg/kg — significantly higher than standard adult dog foods. These elevated levels are specifically designed to meet the greater joint demands of large and giant breed dogs, where the combination of body weight and activity places ongoing stress on cartilage and connective tissue.

Is this food grain free?

Yes — the recipe contains no grains or cereals of any kind. The carbohydrate sources are sweet potato and potato, both of which are highly digestible and gentle on sensitive digestive systems. This makes the food suitable for large breed dogs with grain sensitivities or intolerances.

Is this available in a larger bag?

Yes — this recipe is also available in a 12kg bag, which offers better value per kg for owners of larger breeds or multiple dogs.

What breeds is this food suitable for?

This food is suitable for all large and giant breed adult dogs with sensitive skin or digestion, including Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Great Danes, Newfoundlands, and similar breeds, from 1 year of age until senior age.
