Arden Grange VetCare Joint Care Adult Dog Wet Food 395g
Arden Grange VetCare Joint Care is a vet-approved complete wet dog food formulated to support adult dogs with inflammatory joint diseases and osteoarthritis. Made with 58% turkey and 2% green-lipped mussel in a grain-free recipe, it delivers targeted joint nutrition through a combination of natural cartilage nutrients, anti-inflammatory omega fatty acids, and high-quality digestible protein.
Joint problems in dogs can develop from growth-related conditions, overexertion, excess weight, or simply the natural wear and tear of ageing. Over time, cartilage breaks down, leading to osteoarthritis — causing inflammation, pain, and reduced mobility. This diet is designed to work alongside veterinary treatment to slow that progression and support your dog's comfort and quality of life. Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions is this food designed for?
Arden Grange VetCare Joint Care is designed to support dogs with inflammatory joint diseases, particularly osteoarthritis. It is a complete dietary feed intended to complement — not replace — veterinary treatment. Always consult your vet before starting or extending use of this diet.
How long should my dog be fed this diet?
To support joint metabolism in osteoarthritis, the recommended feeding period is initially up to 3 months. Your vet will advise on whether to continue beyond this period based on your dog's response and condition. As a complete food, it can be used as a sole diet under veterinary guidance.
Why does this food contain green-lipped mussel?
Green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) is a natural source of glycosaminoglycans — the building blocks of cartilage — as well as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), a marine omega-3 fatty acid with well-documented anti-inflammatory properties. It is one of the most researched natural ingredients for joint health in dogs and is included at 2% in this recipe to provide meaningful, clinically relevant levels of these compounds.
What is the difference between glucosamine and chondroitin?
Glucosamine and chondroitin are both natural components of healthy cartilage. Glucosamine supports the production of new cartilage tissue, while chondroitin helps retain water within the cartilage (keeping it cushioned and resilient) and inhibits enzymes that break cartilage down. Together, they work synergistically to support joint structure and slow the progression of osteoarthritis.
Is this food grain free?
Yes — the recipe is completely grain free with no cereals included. The carbohydrate sources are sweet potato and pumpkin, both of which are highly digestible and unlikely to cause intolerances. This also makes the food suitable for dogs with grain sensitivities alongside their joint condition.
Can this food help a dog that is stiff after exercise?
This diet is formulated to support dogs with diagnosed inflammatory joint disease and osteoarthritis, and the combination of green-lipped mussel, glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, and omega-3 fatty acids addresses the key nutritional factors associated with joint health. However, if your dog is showing signs of stiffness or joint pain, always consult your vet for a proper diagnosis before starting a therapeutic diet.
Is this food suitable for puppies?
No — this diet is formulated specifically for adult dogs under veterinary supervision. Puppies have very different nutritional requirements and should not be fed adult therapeutic diets. If your puppy is showing signs of joint issues, speak to your vet about an appropriate dietary and treatment plan.
